Reflections From a Murky Pond

If one has been keeping up with Congress’ “work” on President Obama’s Health Insurance Reconstruction, ObamaCare, then one knows that most of the “work” has been done behind closed doors by Democrat-ruled committees with neither Republicans nor we, the People able to view or effect the proceedings. Thus did the abomination of Obama pass the House and thus did it pass the Senate.

If one has been recently paying attention one knows that C-SPAN challenged President Obama and his Liberals in Congress to allow C-SPAN to televise the final reconciliation of the House and Senate bills.

Of course C-SPAN’s challenge was already moot when they made it. The night before President Obama held a private meeting with Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid and House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi in which he made sure that the final reconciliation of the House and Senate Versions of ObamaCare would be – once again –  be made by select Democrat committee members behind closed doors.

It was agreed by Obama, Pelosi, and Reid to have Congrress bypass the normal a formal “conference committee” and instead negotiate “informally” on their respective health care bills, confirm Congressional aides and sources outside of government.

Of course this is 2010, not 2008, so different rules and expectations are in effect – especially involving the White House.

I’m going to have all the negotiations around a big table. We’ll have doctors and nurses and hospital administrators. Insurance companies, drug companies — they’ll get a seat at the table, they just won’t be able to buy every chair. But what we will do is, we’ll have the negotiations televised on C-SPAN, so that people can see who is making arguments on behalf of their constituents, and who are making arguments on behalf of the drug companies or the insurance companies. And so, that approach, I think is what is going to allow people to stay involved in this process.

Of course the above words that drooled from Obama’s mouth were just one of his lies involving ObamaCare and transparency. Here’s a few more of them, though they’re all just variations on a theme:

President Obama is a well-educated, articulate, and oft-times affable liar and fraud. No words that ever issue from his mouth can be believed by any American and worse, no oath he has ever sworn can be trusted. He is a creature possessed of great cunning but little or no integrity – a dangerous combination of traits that bodes ill for America’s future if he’s allowed to remain in office.

Given the facts that Labor Unions – the ghastly bastard offspring of organized labor – is a Socialist construct, that Islam’s Shari’a sets forth a required socio-economic model within the Caliphate that is very close to Socialism (Look at the economic model used by Iran as a guide), and that Al-Qaeda is made of up Fundamentalist Muslims it would seem logical that, sooner or later, the vermin in Al-Qaeda would organize and form labor unions.

Thankfully for humanity, it probably wouldn’t work any better for the terrorist vermin than it has for human endeavors. 😉

Muslim suicide bombers in Britain are set to begin a three-day strike on Monday in a dispute over the number of virgins they are entitled to in the afterlife. Emergency talks with Al Qaeda management have so far failed to produce an agreement.

The unrest began last Tuesday when Al Qaeda announced that the number of virgins a suicide bomber would receive after his death will be cut by 25% next January from 72 to only 60. The rationale for the cut was the increase in recent years of the number of suicide bombings and a subsequent shortage of virgins in the afterlife.

The suicide bombers’ union, the British Organization of Occupational Martyrs (or B.O.O.M.) responded with a statement that this was unacceptable to its members and immediately balloted for strike action. General secretary Abdullah Amir told the press, “Our members are literally working themselves to death in the cause of jihad. We don’t ask for much in return but to be treated like this by management is a kick in the teeth.”

Mr Amir accepted the limited availability of virgins but pointed out that the cutbacks were expected to be borne entirely by the workforce and not by management. “Last Christmas Abu Hamza alone was awarded an annual bonus of 250,000 virgins,” complains Amir. “And you can be sure they’ll all be pretty ones too. How can Al Qaeda afford that for members of the management but not 72 for the people who do the real work?”

Speaking from the shed in the West Midlands where he currently resides, Al Qaeda chief executive Osama bin Laden explained,

“We sympathise with our workers’ concerns but Al Qaeda is simply not in a position to meet their demands. They are simply not accepting the realities of modern-day jihad, in a competitive marketplace. Thanks to Western depravity, there is now a chronic shortage of virgins in the afterlife. It’s a straight choice between reducing expenditure and laying people off. I don’t like cutting wages but I’d hate to have to tell 3,000 of my staff that they won’t be able to blow themselves up.” He defended management bonuses by claiming these were necessary to attract good fanatical clerics. “How am I supposed to attract the best people if I can’t compete with the private sector?” asked Mr. Bin-Laden.

Talks broke down this morning after management’s last-ditch proposal of a virgin-sharing scheme was rejected outright after a failure to agree on orifice allocation quotas. One virgin, who refused to be named, was quoted as saying “I’ll be buggered if I agree to anything like that……..it’s too much of a mouthful to swallow”.

Unless some sort of agreement is reached over the weekend, suicide bombers will down explosives at midday on Monday. Most branches are supporting the strike. Only the North London branch, which has a different union, is likely to continue working. However, some members of that branch will only be using waist-down explosives in order to express solidarity with their striking brethren.

Of course this joke is predicated on a British venue. In America such a union of terrorists would quickly be subsumed by the larger, more organized, and more dangerous SEIU and/or Teamsters. The poor little Muslim filth wouldn’t stand much of chance of not being taken over by those thugs.

In reality President Obama would never publicly makes such a recommendation as this; he’s always been far too proud to think that his words can’t overcome facts. He or his attack dog, Rahm Emanuel, probably should have though. 😉

Obama – Planning The Next Warmist Gathering

Yeah, having some of the coldest weather in recorded history and a blizzard hamper the Warmists’ Conference of the Parties (COP 15) didn’t bode well for public acceptance of their agenda.

That probably has something to do with why the sixteenth Conference of the Parties (COP) under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) is to b held in balmy Mexico this year. 😉

It is, according to the Gregorian calendar, the year 2010 AD and, in America, there’s a more than decent chance that it will be a year of revolution. It looks to be a year when the Liberals’, led by President Obama and his cultists along with Senator Harry Reid and Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, quasi-Socialist revolution ends in defeat. It looks to be a year when an American revolution takes place once again.

The video letter to the Democrats (on YouTube and Dailymotion) included this succinct and eloquent explanation for the video:

We elected you on a promise of hope and change. You’ve disappointed us. In 2010, we are taking the country back. Blue collar democrats, independents, and conservatives. We love our country. We are proud of our founders. And we will fight to protect our traditions. We don’t want your revolution.

Is the above an example of careful reasoning? No, not by a long shot. It’s gut-felt anger, bitterness, and the feeling of being betrayed. It’s “street politics” and it’s how regimes and societies are lastingly changed.

The elections in 2010 – and later, in 2012 – are going to be truly revolutionary if things continue as they are going. A growing – as of January 5, 2009 – number of people who voted for Obama’s “Change” are not pleased with what he has done with the power they granted him, and they certainly are horrified at how the Liberals in Congress, led by Pelosi and Reid have twisted the supposed “mandate” they had been given.

America is rising and, by that, I mean the average American, long ignored as safely domesticated, is rising. There’s a revolution coming and I, for one, I’m glad to see it happen no matter how it turns out in the end because it’s far past time for Americans to take their government, their society, and their country back.

President Obama’s January 1, 2010 Iranian nuclear weapons development deadline has been reached – and breached.  So, in the wake of Khamnei’s and Ahmadinejad’s rather laughing dismissal of President Obama’s rhetoric, what happens now?

Believe me when I say that this was  Obama’s deadline, not Iran’s. Obama had until January 1, 2010 to solve for the Iranian Question.  He and his words have failed – again.

President Obama spoke – he spoke a great deal – And the regime currently ruling Iran didn’t just ignore him, they laughingly defied him and accelerated their nuclear weapons development program.

They built clandestine, hardened uranium enrichment facilities near Qom, facilities too small for energy production use but very well-suited for weapons development.  Now it is reported that they are trying to illicitly purchase approximately 1350 tons of purified uranium purified uranium ore, aka yellow cake, from Kazakhstan. All  the time while doing this the Muslim regime ruling Iran has threatened Israel and taunted the Civilized World. They have also conducted very public tests of medium and long range missiles to carry a nuclear payload as far as Europe.

As of today, President Obama’s deadline to halt Iran’s dangerous quest for nuclear weapons has past and Iran continues on its hell spawned agenda to be a nuclear power. But does President Obama have anything but well-crafted but empty words and incomplete and ineffectual sanctions to answer Iran’s truculence with?

The Doomsday Clock of a Nuclear Iran strikes ever closer to midnight.  Khamenei and Ahmadinejad have called Obama’s bluff and now Obama has to show his cards – and whatever small measure of mettle he might have.
