Reflections From a Murky Pond

Apparently Donald Trump referred to Elizabeth Warren as “Pocahontas” on Twitter Friday, June 10, 2016 after the senator criticized him in a speech the night before.

Pocahontas? Really? Mr. Trump needs to think just a little bit more before he tweets. That particular waba squaw is Fauxcahontas, not Pocahontas.

The American people have been excoriated for decades by Liberals and Progressives over our love of our country and culture. But finally, in the wake of Donald Trump’s rise to political power, our domestic enemies have shown their true colors and their core problem with Americans they’re allowed to live alongside. That problem, as the New York Times so gloatingly states, is our “atavistic nationalism.”

As language, idiom, and rhetoric have a certain importance – admittedly, one vastly overstated by certain sorts – allow me to dissect this.

So we have our domestic enemies ranting and raving in fear of- and in hate for something that they feel is part of our past that has been left behind; that something being the love of- devotion to our country, the United States of America.

Think about that. Digest it. Understand what the root cause of the Left’s issue with we, the American people is.

Almost every election and during the course of many court cases Americans have to hear how various and sundry Liberals and Progressives claim that they will emigrate to Canada if things don’t go their way. This is especially true right now with Donald Trump being the presumptive Republican Nominee for POTUS.

Liberal Latinophobes

This is especially ironic since our domestic enemies at once deride Trump and a racist and always say they’re going to ever-so-White Canada and never oh-so-brown Mexico.

Seems to me that these hand wringing, abuse spewing Leftists are actually afraid of- and hateful towards Latinos, the very demographic that they so vocally pander to and claim that Americans oppress so horribly. Elsewise, why wouldn’t they ever threaten to move to Mexico with its socialized medicine, lower cost of living, and generally nicer climate?

And, my fellow Americans, remember that the only difference between Bernopoly and Hillary Clinton’s game is that Hillary’s is slower and she owns the bank.

The wages of sin are death or so it is said (Romans 6:23). The wages of Socialism are…wait! what wages?

Viva el Socialismo – #SentirElBern

Yes, Venezuela’s attempt at Socialism has, not in the least unexpectedly, ended in total economic collapse and mass starvation and persistent, bloody societal upheaval. Argentina and Brazil are not far behind.

This is obviously not something that Bernie Sanders wants to comment upon. Hillary Clinton wouldn’t wish to either since her agenda differs from Bernie’s only in the speed of its implementation and the race and gender specifics for that implementation.

But none of the above means that socialism provides no benefits. There’s an upside to it.

Socialism Does Have An Upside

And yes! That upside is the new and growing plethora of Venezuelan babes – and Venezuela has many beautiful women – who are now rethinking their personal economics, virtue, and futures. 😉

Heck! With manufacturing and production essentially defunct in Venezuela, moving into the service industries makes good sense for these women. It’d certainly bring in a much needed influx of foreign capital.

Socialism’s Upside

And, if combined with well-reasoned immigration reform, this could be a real win-win situation. Admittedly though, given global economics and exchange rates, I’d favor a somewhat more managed economic approach over a fully free market one. Renewal resources or not, I’d never advocate a completely predatory extraction model. 😉

And for those of you reading this who are already screaming in rage or are about to, you need to “check your privilege.” In all statistical likelihood, your from the Developed World; it’s even probable that your in America. Hence, not only are you one of the Global 1%, you’ve also never even seen real poverty beyond a few sanitized commercials for charities.
