Birthing An Abomination

And so the true lasting horror of Halloween came to be. Sure, we’ve been told to blame George Renninger, a candymaker at the Wunderlee Candy Company in Philadelphia, for creating the monstrosity that is candy corn in the 1880s, and the Goelitz Confectionery Company who spread the evil to the world in 1898, but now we know the ugly truth.

I have to confess—I LOVE candy corn. My Middle School Music students brought me several bags of it, haha, when they found out I like it. I am especially fond of the little pumpkins.

Ewwwwww! Nasty! 😆 Just kidding. There's no sane way to argue matters of taste.
But then, that's candy corn for you. People seem to either love it or hate it, a lot like black jelly beans.
