Despite the rantings of Liberals and those minorities that base their fame, power, and wealth upon race-baiting antics, the beliefs and desires of the majority of Black population do not seem fall in line behind these jabbering rabble-rousers.

They are reported to have a far different and more honest, introspective, and realistic view of the causes of- and cures or ameliorations for any economic troubles that they might be facing.

Their views also seem to fall directly inline with those of Whites in similar economic straits.

In a recent editorial nationally syndicated columnist, author, and President of the Coalition on Urban Renewal and Education (CURE) Star Parker says what the grievance-mongers and their Liberal media enablers don’t want Americans to hear:

The NAACP says it was “snookered” by Fox News on the Shirley Sherrod story.

I say we’ve all been snookered by the NAACP.

The NAACP has shown that those who have written this organization off as irrelevant are wrong. It demonstrated this past week that if it so chooses it can dominate the national discussion with its racial agenda, regardless of what the real pressing issues of national concern may be.

The accusation about Tea Party racism is ridiculous. But even if you don’t think it’s ridiculous, is this the discussion we need to be having when national unemployment hovers at ten percent, and when black unemployment is closer to 15%, double that of whites?

Now, of course, we should be talking about racism if this is what is driving black unemployment. But is it?

I don’t think so. Nor do most blacks.

In January of this year, well into our recession, and well into the emergence of the Tea Party movement, the Pew Research Center surveyed black attitudes.

In answer to the question, “When blacks don’t make progress, who or what is to blame?”, 52% of blacks responded that “blacks” themselves are “mostly responsible”, and 34% said “racism.” This is the reverse of how blacks responded to this question just 15 years ago, when 56% said that racism was the impediment to black progress.

In the same survey, blacks responded almost identically as whites to the question of whether success in life is “determined by forces beyond one’s control” or whether “everyone has the power to succeed.”

Seventy seven percent of blacks and 82% of whites said that “everyone has the power to succeed” and 16% of blacks and 12% whites said success is “determined by forces beyond one’s control.”

And when blacks were asked in this same survey about the main problems facing black families, the response was overwhelmingly exactly the same as the general result of the Gallup poll of last week. Jobs.

So, Americans of all colors today generally feel responsible for their own lives and the main concern of most is the sick state of our economy.

From what I can see Star Parker was referring to the 2007 Pew Research Center study on racial attitudes. It was a solid and hopeful study which I’ve referenced here before. Though, even then, it was in the context of disgust and borderline disillusionment.

Thankfully, Parker’s editorial goes a fair distance in counterbalancing that disgust and disillusionment. It’s heartening – and a bit sobering – to be so eloquently reminded that the caricature that the MSM prefers to paint of the Blacks in America is not necessarily indicative of their real attitudes. Only a minority, albeit a large if shrinking one – of the Blacks have been successfully indoctrinated by the Liberals and the race-baiting grievance-mongers that act as their overseers.

But of course the hope for America – and, frankly, for the Blacks within it – that Star Parker offers up is a largely untold hope. The Liberal media would only report upon it if they could luck into or arrange for someone of the ilk of Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, or the newer “leadership” of the NAACP to attack Parker for being an “Oreo.”  Hence, aside from a few outlets, this will remain an untold hope.

The KKK Repudiates Westboro Baptist Church’s Activities

Yes, the above is a partial screenshot of the KKK’s website’s homepage which I’ve posted here both so that people don’t have to go to the Klan’s site and in to keep a record of it when they later remove the news release.

It seems that nearly everyone – even groups known for their hate and public displays – is arrayed against Phelps and his congregation.

So, now that everyone – except a few pathetic federal appeals court judges – seems to be in agreement that Phelps, his misborn brood, and his sickening followers are vile, can we, the People finally do something of a retributive and permanent nature about these creatures who harass and insult the families of our fallen soldiers?

Mr. Phelps believes that we’re nearing the end times. Let’s do what we can to ensure that for him, the 13 misborn spawn he rutted into his female, any progeny that those 13 might have spawned, and his followers and all of their crotch-droppings, and any who have supported them, it is such.

You know it’s bad when even the Ku Klux Klan feels the need to publicly repudiate your behavior, but let’s ensure that it is of Biblical proportions. Let fire be rained upon them from on high; let the waters turn red with blood; let the heads be stripped from the grain so that there is naught for them to eat nor plant in its time.

Such just retribution would, after all, fit in with Phelps’ view of his God

Many Americans claim to believe that the answer to all these questions is yes, all men are equal.

Indeed, answer is contained within the single most quoted line from our Declaration of Independence and has been used many times as a rationale for changing our nation’s laws.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness

The very wording of this declaration, combined with what we know of the Founding Fathers’ theologies and philosophies, sets forth the inherent equality of all of Man as a matter of Natural Law.

But, if this is case, one would be forced to accept the bad along with good. Whether it is merely people’s belief that all men are inherently equal or a fact of Natural Law that they are, in fact, equal in both propensity for nobility and for ignominy then one should expect roughly similar results and responses any stimulus that is applied to a group people, irrespective of their race, ethnicity, or creed.

That being the case, why do so many people in America believe that “domestic aid” programs will achieve any better results than the bulk of both private (NGO) and governmental foreign aid programs have achieved in the many decades of their existence?

Foreign Aid Failure

Truly, if the aim of aid was and is to better the lot in life of its recipients, then the trillions of dollars Americans have given in aid to the impoverished of countless nations has been largely a failure. With the fewest of exceptions it has not achieved that goal. It may have kept a great many from dying but it has not let them live, but merely to exist dependent upon the largess of Americans.

Does anyone reading this post have an example of a circumstance when foreign aid has had a long-term positive effect that resulted in the recipients no longer needing the aid?

In some cases, such as AIDS relief in Uganda, foreign aid actually made things far worse. Foreign aid, focused on treatment instead of prevention and containment has actually ended up killing more people than would have died without it.

Domestic Corollary

There are, of course, obvious direct corollaries between foreign aid and domestic social programs, both in methodology and in efficacy. This stands to reason; people in America who are interested in such things have found a singular premise and formula for providing aid to the poor, and have applied it to both foreign and domestic targets.

Welfare, Medicaid, SCHIP, WIC, Food Stamps, and a plethora of other “Social Programs” are essentially domestic variations of the same programs we deploy as part of foreign aid. They are all based solely upon keeping people alive and do not make provisions for actually improving the recipients’ situation.

American Exceptionalism

Do people truly believe that our domestic aid programs will have  different and better outcomes than our foreign aid programs have had? Wouldn’t such a belief just be an example of the philosophy of American Exceptionalism – something which so many of the people who favor the continuance of these programs describe as self-serving, jingoistic, and based upon a myth?

Aside from some thought or belief that America’s poor are somehow different and better than the poor of other countries, how can people expect subsistence aid to have any long-term positive effect and remediation of the recipients’ situations when it has failed to do  so in other  countries time after time?

Conclusion & Opinion

I’m left with having to choose between two disparate conclusions – either the proponents and supporters of America’s various subsidies for the poor base their support on something other than actually improving the lives and situations of those poor, or the proponents and supporters of America’s various subsidies for the poor believe in American Exceptionalism and, therefor, do not believe that a man is man and that all men were created equal.

In truth, it’s an easy bit of rhetoric for the Liberal politicians, power brokers, and their MSM operatives such as Olbermann and Maddow, to use against the Tea Parties, since it resonates with both a large segment of the Black population and Leftist Whites as well.

It’s a simple fact that, when you’re a Liberal who is supporting America’s First Black President, who you’ve decided cannot be allowed to fail, a crowd of angry White Americans protesting his policies and agenda is both a danger and an opportunity.

After the Internet allowed the Tea Parties and alternate or citizens’ journalism outlets to largely refute the Liberals’ and their MSM operatives original tactic of only depicting and reporting upon the “lunatic fringe” of the protesters at the various rallies the Liberals fell back on a simple statement to continue to paint the Tea Parties as racists:

You never see Blacks at the Tea Party protests and rallies; the Tea Party is all White and, therefor, must be racist. No matter what the Tea Partiers are saying, it’s really all about race.

This is, admittedly, a somewhat alluring argument. The Tea Parties, after all, do seem to be a White phenomenon; one rarely, if ever, sees a Black among the crowds shown during coverage of the events. This means it’s certainly reasonable to question why there is such a seeming racial disparity between Blacks and Whites in the Tea Parties.

Is this racial disparity evidence of the racism of the Tea Party supporters or is this disparity caused by factors other than racism, prejudice, and animosity?

Statistical Data On The Tea Party

There’s currently very little demographic and/or statistical data available on the Tea Party movement and it’s supporters, but CNN and Opinion Research did recently perform a poll of the Tea Party movement and its supporters.

Opinion Research conducted interviews by telephone with 1,023 adult Americans, including 954 registered voters on February 12-15, 2010. They claim the margin of sampling error for results based on the total sample is +/-  3% overall.

Population and Party

Analysis of what percentage of Tea Party supporters should be Blacks based upon US racial demographics and political affiliation:

1. Blacks are 12% of the total US Population
2. Blacks are 80% likely to support Democratic Candidates

It’s a simple equation.  12% of population – 80% opposing ideology = 2.4% of Blacks should support the Tea Party on the basis of simple population and political viewpoint. CNN’s poll showed 2.0% of the self-identified Tea Party supporters were Black. Given the small sample size, that’s a within the realm of probable overall statistical error and only 1% above Opinion Research’s stated sampling error rate.

Furthermore, CNN’s poll had a total of 11% Black respondents, not 12%. That changes the baseline demographic projection to 2.2%, and an even closer match.

Economics And Income Bracket

1. 66% of Tea Party supporters make in excess of $50K per year
2. 32% of Blacks make in excess of $50K per year

Assuming that there is an economic component to support of the Tea Party movement – an unproven but seductive supposition,  then Blacks would be roughly 50% less likely to be among them.

Urban vs. Non-Metropolitan

1. 91% of Tea Party supporters are Suburban or Rural dwellers
2. 58% of Blacks are Urban dwellers

Assuming that there’s a direct correlation between living in suburban or rural communities and supporting the Tea Party movement – again an unproven but seductive supposition, only 42% of Blacks would be in a similar situation as the bulk of those supporters.

Correlating The Data

Simply put, the available data-set isn’t granular enough to allow one to properly correlate its various parts. The is no way to determine how to weight each individual factor, nor were notations on possible overlap of factors being present, e.g., what percentage of the rural Blacks make less than $50K per year or voted for Democratic candidates respectively.

One can, however, state that Blacks are a minority population who: tend to vote for politicians that are not favored by the Tea Party supporters; are largely not within the same economic strata of the Tea Party supporters; and who do not live in the same sorts of areas of America as the Tea Party supporters.

The Unquantifiable Factors

Of course the above data and limited analysis was only that which has been quantified by the CNN / Opinion Research poll on the Tea Party supporters. It did not even attempt to factor in various unquantified – and likely unquantifiable – factors that might affect the racial demographics of the Tea Parties and their supporters.

Some of those unquantifiable factors include:

1. The inherited fear and resentment of Whites that many Blacks were taught as children -  A large group of angry Whites does seem an unlikely group for many Blacks to feel comfortable going near, much less joining. Some lamentable portions of American history would certainly support such an avoidance strategy.
2. The converse of above – Many Tea Party supporters might feel an initial distrust towards any Black approaching them. They have, after all, been labeled as racists by the MSM and 95%+ of the record number of Black voters did support Obama in 2008.
3. Racial Solidarity – There is an undisputed tendency for Blacks to avoid criticizing other Blacks in the public sphere unless that Black is seen as a sell-out, race traitor, or “Uncle Tom.”
4. Obama’s Symbolism – Many Blacks see Obama and his election as POTUS as an important symbol, both for themselves and for their children who are in desperate need of Black male role-models. For some unknown number of them it was the primary reason for their voting for him in 2008.  It’s highly unlikely that they’d protest against him without dramatic and overwhelming provocation.
5. The Smear Campaign – It quite possible – probable even – that many Blacks believe that the Tea Parties and their supporters are racists who are protesting against the current administration because President Obama self-identifies as Black. If so, it’d be close to inconceivable that Blacks would want to associate themselves with them even if they agreed with some of the Tea Parties’ voiced complaints.

I’m fairly sure that every one of the above factors, plus a great number more that I didn’t list, negatively impact the number of Blacks that support the Tea Party movement. I can’t, however, make any judgment as to how much they affect it.

Conclusion And Opinion

As far as I’m concerned the most compelling part of the data is the racial population demographics combined with the longitudinal support of Black for Democrats, a brand of politician largely unfavored by the Tea Parties and their supporters. Those numbers alone put Opinion Research’s finding of 2% of  Tea Party supporters being Black as actually being very close to the statistically predicted and expected number.

All the other quantifiable data that the Opinion Research poll provided was either non-informative  – e.g., education levels, which are comparable between Blacks and Tea Party supporters – or served to further point out the dissimilarity between the lifestyles, circumstances, and probable viewpoints of the majority of Blacks and the supporters of the Tea Party movement.

There is just no measurable basis for the Liberal politicians, power brokers, and their MSM operatives argument that the lack of Blacks in the Tea Party movement is proof or evidence that the Tea Parties are racist or have a racist agenda.

Are there racists who are Tea Partiers? In the words of Sarah Palin, You Betcha! You can find racist in any group of people, Black, Brown, White, Yellow, or Red, so of course you can find them in the Tea Parties as the MSM has taken great pains to do.

Is there any indication that they are anything more than a fringe element of the movement? No so far, but better and fuller judgment of the matter would have to wait for more data and analysis.

Is it about race? Is the lack of Black members and supporters an indication or proof that the Tea Parties are racists? The statistics indicate otherwise – and voluntary membership demographics are both a poor and frankly dangerous measure of racism for anyone to espouse using.

Shall we apply the same standard to: the NAACP, the Congressional Black Caucus, La Raza, or the “Historically Black Colleges” as the Liberals apply to the Tea Parties? Those other groups, after all, are even quite open about their having few, if any, White members or supporters and are, by their very natures, based upon purely racial and racially biased agendas and goals.

After 28 months of the poem being posted on the internet and  18 months of the Secret Service being aware of it Mr. Spencer has been charged, after an investigation that lasted under a week, with federal crimes pertaining to threatening President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.

Below is the poem, if one can truly call it that given its broken meter and piss-poor rhyme, in its entirety:

THE SNIPER

As the tyrant enters his cross hairs the breath he takes is deep
His focus is square on the target as he begins to release
A patriot for his people he knows this shot will cost his life
But for his race and their existence it is a small sacrifice

The bullet that he has chambered is one of the purest pride
And the inscription on the casing reads DIE negro DIE
He breathes out as he pulls the trigger releasing all his hate
And a smile appears upon his face as he seals that monkeys fate

So what we have here is a very poorly crafted attempt a poetry that paints a racist’s fantasy about assassinating a Black POTUS – presumably, given the nature of New Saxon and the use of “tyrant” as a descriptor, one of authoritarian bent who is forcing the “Black Agenda” upon America by fiat.

What we do not have is a direct reference to the Obamas – though we have to assume they’re who he was writing about, a direct threat to their lives, or a direct call for violence against them. Some combination of these things have, until Obama’s regime, been required before such speech was criminalized and federal law enforcement sent out to arrest and imprison the people involved.

Even with some combination of direct reference and overt or explicit threat or call to violent and/or criminal action, in the past plenty of people were allowed to speak as they wished to without fear of reprisal from the White House or its federal law enforcement agents.

No, these people were not arrested by either local, state, or federal officers for threatening President Bush.  But that was then and this is now, and apparently vastly different rules apply under President Obama.

Some will stridently claim that there is an inherent difference between the images displayed by the Liberal and Black protesters against President Bush and the poem by Spencer about presumably assassinating President Obama in front of his wife – and they’re right; there is a vast sea of difference between protesters gathering in large groups and calling for the murder of a POTUS – or anyone else for that matter – and the rancid masturbatory fantasies of a White Supremacist about assassinating a President who hadn’t even won his party’s nomination as of yet.

It is sadly ironic - and not in a remotely humorous way – that President Obama and his federal agents, upon identifying Spencer, acted in manner consistent with a Tyrant, which is exactly how Spencer described him in The Sniper.

One wonders if this is based upon an actual fear of Mr. Spencer, who had done nothing to realize his fantasy and was not found to have any weaponry or even links to weaponry, or if it is just more race-baiting for the sake of political expediency during the lead up to Obama’ healthcare summit and the November Congressional midterm elections.

Obama Hopes He Won’t Be “Goldstoned”

Of course that means he now has to personally face the Muslim terrorists’ most dangerous weapons, filth like Richard Goldstone and other vermin like him who are the true weapons of jihad wielded by the Islamists and their neo-Janissaries, the UN.

Personally, I’m not too worried about President Obama being “Goldstoned” by the Muslim-loving terrorist sympathizers. He and the White House press corps – MSNBC, ABC, NY Times, CNN, etc… – can easily handle such paper terrorism. It would be obvious, after all, that any such complaints would actually be just examples of racism and the UN’s deep-seated problem with a Black man being POTUS.

The supposed racial offense is that, during the 2008 campaign, Sen. Reid is alleged to have described Obama as “a “light-skinned” African American “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.”

I loath Reid and pray nightly for his painful and ignominious death, but it is ridiculous to attack him over manufactured non-issues, especially ones that further the racist agenda of certain Blacks.

Of course the race-baiters – and somewhat sadly, the leaders of my own titular party – blew their collective stacks over this allegation. Let’s put it in context though. Below is what the authors of Game Change, John Heilemann and Mark Halperin, claim Sen. Reid actually said:

He was wowed by Obama’s oratorical gifts and believed that the country was ready to embrace a black presidential candidate, especially one such as Obama — a “light-skinned” African American “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one,” as he said privately. Reid was convinced, in fact, that Obama’s race would help him more than hurt him in a bid for the Democratic nomination.

– Game Change, pg 37

I can’t see where any sane person in America would have a problem with Reid’s statement unless that “offended” person had either an racial axe to grind or wanted yet another hand-out and wasn’t shy about using extortion to get it.

President né Senator Obama was and is exactly that, a light-skinned African-American with a politically safe and pleasingly nondescript accent and possessed of a cultured vocabulary that has none the issues of either the rural South or the thuggish Inner City.

Actually, President Obama, with his Kenyan and American mixed parentage is one of the few Blacks in America who can rightfully claim the nomenclature of “African-American”

Senator Reid was also correct in his thoughts that Obama was the sort of Black that America was ready to accept in a position of political leadership. In a realpolitik sense Sen. Obama was the Magic Negro of 2007 and 2008 and the combination of his demeanor, presentation, and race certainly helped him defeat Sen. Hillary Clinton in the Democratic Primary.

But facts and context don’t matter to race-baiters, and they certainly don’t matter to GOP who has been given the chance to treat a Democrat in the same manner as the Dems have treated GOP politicians who made potential controversial statements.

Such is the twisted state of society and politics in America.

What seems to come as a jarring shock to many people is that, not only is Dan Halloran a Heathen – his sect prefers that term over Pagan – he’s a Republican.  Mr. Halloran dispelled the entwined myths that Pagans are Liberals and that the GOP is a Christian party.

Halloran won a decisive 52.5 – 47.5% victory over his Democrat opponent, Kevin Kim, in a bitter election struggle in which Kim, his Asian constituents, and the NY Democrat party used every dirty political trick in the book to defeat him.

Chief among these tactics was, of course, to use Halloran’s religion against him. They tried to both scare the Catholics and to paint Théodism, a Norse-based folkway, as a White Supremacist, Neo-Nazi cult to scare the non-Whites.

In the end the campaign of fear, prejudice, and religious intolerance waged by Kevin Kim and the Democrats failed. Not even allegedly busing in voters from out of the district and possibly out of state was sufficient to secure the 19th District’s NY City Council seat for Kim.

And so it came to pass that the borough of Queens, of all the unexpected places, was the first place in US History to elect an openly Pagan or Heathen public official.

Now the Pagan community is being forced to reassess who it’s members are, since they’ve been axe slapped with a fact that they had largely heretofore refused to see – that we’re not all, or even mostly, Liberals and/or Democrats. And now the people of America are going to have to reassess just who makes up the GOP and the Conservative movement; it’s not just the Christian Right and never has been just them.

MSNBC’s Carlos Watson says Socialist means Nigger – but Birther’s OK

This is how Obama, his Liberals and their media shills operate. They reach and reach and reach – or just invent something out of whole cloth – in order to inject Race into any opposition to President Obama, The First African-American President, or dissent against his and his Liberals’ agenda.

While this video is utterly appalling, it is also ironically humorous since Carlos Watson so casually referenced those Americans who want to see irrefutable legal proof President Obama’s birth on American soil – generally considered a requirement for holding the Presidency – as “Birthers.”  Since the Liberals have spent a vast effort to paint these people, along with the Tea Party protesters and anyone who opposes them, as racist, using the pejorative diminutive of “Birther” is tantamount – especially in the context of the video – to calling them racists.

To watch Watson complain that Socialist is a codeword for Nigger in the same screed in which he apparently uses Birther as a codeword for Racist is just amazing. My only question is whether Watson is too stupid to know what he did or whether he and MSNBC believe that their audience is too stupid to know what he did.

Now I can just about agree that there should be some limits to the rhetoric of political debate and argument; past a certain shifting point language can impede rather than foster such debate. It’s just very obvious that Americans cannot and must not allow the Liberals to decide what those limits shall be – but then, I’m obviously a racist.
