With the issues that the 2010 mid-term elections highlighted, this is especially true of the Democrat party. The question is what should the Democrat party slogan be changed to in order to properly reflect their agenda and fire up their constituents.

What do think? Which should be the new Democrat party slogan? All ten choices seem solid to me. They’s succinct, pithy, and they honestly distill the Democrats’ goals and should resonate strongly with their constituents.

Gnaw Off Arm And Crawl Away…

Now it’s up to Americans to make sure that, come the 2012 elections, the Dems have to make that “walk of shame” right out of office and right out of history – except as a footnote on failure.

Truth be told though, I’m not sure that “shame” can play a part in this. Democrats don’t seem to have the capacity for shame and whored themselves out to OWS knowingly. Now it’s not shame that drive them; it’s morning after regrets and the fear of what diseases or vermin they may have contracted.

In a country where the single most often repeated lament about the “poor” is that they’re obese this has presented the Liberals with more than a bit of a quandary. How are the Liberals to tend their herd and farm them for votes and support as their overall situation becomes less dire? How are the Liberals going to stampede them at the forces of capitalism and individual freedom when their “poor’s” standard of living isn’t that objectively uncomfortable?

Enter Obama, or more accurately those who do the dirty work for Obama’s handlers since Obama himself is more minstrel than leader.  The Obama Regime’s Census Bureau released its brand new, still technically experimental “supplemental poverty measure.”

This Supplemental Poverty Measure fundamentally changes how poverty is measured in America. It doesn’t just update the thresholds and metrics for measuring poverty, it is designed to change the basic measure of poverty from an objective standard to a relative standard.

The current poverty metrics are antiquated and do need updating, and this supplemental poverty measure has inside of it some damn good changes. It’s its philosophical base that is pernicious.

Traditionally the poverty line assumes that families need a set amount of money to meet their material needs. The Obama Regime’s new supplemental measure declares that people need at least what Americans in the 33rd percentile of expenditures already spend on “essentials.” This in turn means that, if the Liberals can coerce the government into shifting to this new wealth measuring standard, they will always have a large crop of “poor” to exploit irrespective of improvements in overall wealth.

A permanent class of poor determined to be such by relative standards is the culmination of the Liberals’ fevered wet dreams. With their boy, Obama’s help, they’re one giant step closer to achieving it.

Obviously, there has to a reason or reasons for this behavior pattern. An antisocial pathology doesn’t, in and of itself, explain their voting patterns. And so the question keeps niggling at our minds.

In an effort to put Americans’ minds to rest on this question I’ve compiled a list of 12 reasons why some residents within America’s borders keep voting for Democrats:

1. They voted Democrat because they believe oil companies’ profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene, but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn’t obscene.
2. They voted Democrat because they believe the government will do a better job of spending the money they earn than they would.
3. They voted Democrat because Freedom of Speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.
4. They voted Democrat because they’re way too irresponsible to own a gun, and they know that the local police are all they need to protect them from murderers and thieves.
5. They voted Democrat because they believe that people who can’t tell us if it will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if they don’t start driving a Prius.
6. They voted Democrat because they’re not concerned about millions of babies being aborted so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.
7. They voted Democrat because they think illegal aliens have a right to free health care, education, and Social Security benefits.
8. They voted Democrat because they believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as the Democrats see fit.
9. They voted Democrat because they believe liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters.
10. They voted Democrat because they think that it’s better to pay billions to people who hate us for their oil, than to drill our own because it might upset some endangered beetle or gopher.
11. They voted Democrat because while we live in the greatest, most wonderful country in the world, they were promised “HOPE AND CHANGE”.
12. They voted Democrat because their minds are so firmly made up, it’s unlikely that they’ll ever have another point of view.
13. They voted Democrat because they’re jackasses and like calls to like.

Personally, I think Reason 13 is the primary causative factor, but I’m sure the other twelve play a major role as well.

Of course these reasons only apply to non-union, White Liberals. The minorities have pragmatic reasons for voting Democrats: hand-outs and race-based lowering of expectations and requirements. For the unions it’s simply maintaining their power and seeking a return on their outsized fiduciary investment in Democrat politicians.

Oh Crap, A Democrat!

Then again, if you’re going to teach your children to go begging handouts, it’s best that they learn about the Democrats’ ideas about wealth redistribution and “trickle up” economics as soon as possible.

America is at a point where it is dealing with a middle case scenario where politicians need to be instilled with a combination of preventative and punitive fears.

Fortunately, Americans have exercised some of the means at their disposal to instill the needed fear in the political elite. They banded together as the TEA Parties and elected representatives to Congress who were of strong purpose and character.

In the degenerate system that America’s federal government has devolved into, honest and patriotic men an women who have chosen to shoulder the burden of providing correction to that system and who are willing to disregard the personal cost to themselves for doing so are an acute source of fear for all the professional politicians who are heavily invested, often literally, in maintaining the current broken status quo.

Nothing scares professional politicians more than actual statesmen, and nothing scares the Liberals and Progressives more than American statesmen, even though they whine and rant when their own sort don’t behave similarly.

This has happened because Obama, Pelosi, and Reid – and/or their handlers – gambled – in fact the went “all in” – on a big push for Statist measures and a neo-Socialist agenda and they lost, lost big.

All that they achieved was near-beggaring the nation, causing a Hooverian extension and worsening of the economic malaise, and waking up the American people, who then chose to take back their country and its government.

This week’s fight over raising the federal debt limit exposes a key weakness in the warfare-welfare state that has bestowed power onto the Democratic Party: Without an ever-growing share of the economy, it dies. Every vital element of the Democrats’ coalition — unions, government workers, government contractors, “entitlement” consumers — requires constant increases in payments, grants and consulting contracts. Without those payments, they don’t sign checks to re-elect Democrats.

Like it or not, Obama is not the new FDR, but the new Gorbachev: a man forced to preside over the demise of a political system he desperately wants to save.

Democrat champions in the punditocracy confidently predict that the future of the world’s oldest political party is bright. But in fact, the coalition that is the modern Democratic Party is doomed. Every pillar upholding its heavy roof is crumbling.

That’s the problem with going “all in” when you’re bluffing and have nothing to back it up. When you’re called, you lose it all. That’s what has happened to the leftists and their pet politicians.

Obama is now truly much like Gorbachev was then. His mouthings are just the rhetorical floundering of a lost and bewildered politician trying to be heard over the roar of lost faith in a failed model of government. Obama, figurehead, scapegoat, judas goat, or whatever for the Liberals and their Democrats, just cannot be heard anymore – and Pelosi and Reid aren’t even speaking at all.

Thanks to the stupidity of Obama, Pelosi and Reid they even lost the terms of the arguments. Under the new rules of engagement the arguments are now solely voiced in conservative American terms. Liberal and Progressive catch-phrases, terms, and dog-whistles have been cast onto the trash heaps of history.

Even if Obama is granted a second term as POTUS it won’t matter that much. Indeed, perhaps it’s fitting the America’s First Black President be the one who presides over the dissolution of Liberal and Progressive ideology as a political force in America.

As this is true for one’s house so it is true for the People’s house, the US House of Representatives. It must be swept clean and sanitized, and any disease-bearing vermin within it must be expunged in order for America to regain its health and vigor.

It would be both wise and prudent for Americans to remember that the 2012 Elections encompass more than just a presidential election; the entirety of the House is up for reelection as well, with all 435 seats being in play on November 6, 2012.

Securing the White House is certainly important, both functionally and symbolically, but all federal laws start in the US House of Representatives. Completing the “spring cleaning” started with the 2010 mid-term elections is imperative if the renewal of America is to continue and it’s rebirth is to come full term.

Obama’s defense of his violation of US law and even the War Powers Act, which gives the POTUS certain limited leeway in using force without prior congressional approval, seems to center upon the war in Libya being a UN mandated action that is being conducted under the auspices of NATO.

The only other possibility is that Obama is attempting the Whoopi Defense – It’s not war-war, much like it wasn’t rape-rape in the case of Roman Polanski drugging and rutting into an unconscious 13 year-old girl.

Yet, even after all this time, Obama’s zombies are still staggering and shuffling around, seeking to devour Americans’ brain which is the only rationally conceivable way that anyone would vote to reelect this trumped up fool to office.

I suppose that there’s not much point in continuing much further in the post beyond remind to all Americans good and true that zombies are best dealt with by one or more bullets to the head.
