On The Bandwagon

Obama Jumps On The Occupy Wall Street Bandwagon, Goes Nowhere
The Movement Is Off The Ground

Obama, in an increasingly desperate bid to keep his job, has jumped on the slackers of the Occupy Wall St.’s bandwagon now that his handlers have convinced him that the movement is off the ground.

Of course Obama and his handlers forgot to check to see if “off the ground” really meant “up on blocks” before trying to harness the neo-Socialist class warfare of these rabble.

That’s the problem with old saying like, “jump on the bandwagon.” They often don’t workout so well in reality. Face it, Obama and his coterie would “hitch their wagon to a star” only to have it implode into a brown dwarf. 😆

A pair of excellent toons that capture the story sweetly J. I’m torn which one I like best between this and the profiles one two posts back. Both possess a level of truth to them that is remarkable.

Thanks, Alfie. It takes a certain amount of time to comb through and analyze the base data – toons in this case – so I’m happy that they’re appreciated.

    Jonolan,

Having spent many hours under house trailers, I have to say, the cement blocks are a nice touch . Although they look more like chimney liners .

  4. jonolan Says:

Now that you mention it, Alan, they do look like chimney liners instead of cinder blocks, don’t they?

I’d forgotten that chimney liners could look like that. The last ones I installed were ceramic lined metal tubes, so I didn’t recognize these one.

    Jonolan,

The only reason I know is that I once bought chimney liners so that a brick layer could raise the height of one of my chimneys It didn’t work, the chimney still down drafts in rainy weather .

Have you considered using a Vacu-Stack cap on your chimney. They’re good for curing downdrafting and crossdrafting.

    Jonolan,

I have lived with this for 27 years. It is the chimney for my auxillary coal stove . The other chimney for the gas furnace is okay . They previous owner of my house put too big of a liner in the chimney. I could fix it by putting in a flexible liner , but I have other priorities . I am not familiar with a Vacu-stack.
