Naming The Beasts

With the monsters in America out of the closet, it’s best to put a name to them. Naming the beasts reduces the fear that they can engender and, with that fear reduced, weakens them and make them easier for faithful Americans to contain or destroy.

Naming The Beasts - Mugwumps have become MugwhumpsMugwhumps For Clinton 2016

Yes, the best name for the childish, selfish creatures of the #NeverTrump movement is Mugwhumps even if they don’t actively vote for Hillary in the fast approaching 2016 elections. They even have the sanctimonious and holier-than-thou attitudes that were generally associated with the 19th century term, Mugwump.

Ah well, such is the lesson easiness learned from history. At least we’ve put a name to them. That’s a start.

I find this post a bit off the mark.
The Republicans who have come out supporting Hillary are far worse than a throwback to Mugwumps. These folks are truly without principles for as much as I can appreciate despising Trump the alternative is by no means supporting the Evil One.

The folks who are #NeverTrump AND NOT voting or otherwise supporting Hillary directly are perhaps more muggy but I don’t think even that comparison holds true. It is foolishness to think Trump has not been a negative to the down ticket ballot. He is not the enema the GOP needed he is in fact more p.o.s. than anything else.

Grover Cleveland represented a platform that true Republicans and definitely ones today would’ve/should’ve supported. It would be a great credit to the country if candidates today ran on actual platforms.

I don’t really make a distinction between them. You’re either casting a vote against Hillary or complicit with her, her followers, and her and their agendas.

As such, they deserve – as a start, since Hillary hasn’t yet and may not get elected – ridicule. Hence, Mugwhumps.

Thank you for the history lesson. I usually know such trivia, but I was ignorant about this.

You’re quite welcome, Alan. As always, I’m a freaking font of knowledge that most consider trivial to the point of uselessness. 😉
