The First Debate

The general consensus seems to be that Mitt Romney won the debate with Barack Obama last Thursday night in Denver, CO. I frankly disagree with this consensus. Romney did not win; Obama lost. There was little in Romney’s performance that was praiseworthy, but there was nothing that was so in Obama’s performance.

The First Romney v. Obama Debate

After watching this political kabuki play, reading the transcripts of it, and subjecting myself to the lamestream media’s analysis of it, I’m left with the conclusion that Romney “won” only because Obama did even manage “Present” on that night.

The Obama that America’s domestic enemies rallied behind in 2008 was not in attendance at that debate. Only, a tired, stilted, stuttering man who was obviously in over his head and trying to defend a lack of job performance that would and should land any normal person without a job.

    Jonolan,

Accurate cartoon. It makes you wonder why Hillary and John McCain could have lost to this guy. It doesn’t say much for them.

Obama reminds me of the mad Emperors of Rome. Totally incompetent to rule. So far his Praetorians in the media have not turned on him.

Hillary lost to Obama because of the ghetto vote. McCain lost to him because he didn’t enthuse the conservative and values voters and because the lamestream media decided that Obama would be POTUS.

    Jonolan,

Figuring out what is really going on in the race is a little hard. However, there seems to be desperation setting in with Team Obama. In their Big Bird add they lump in Bernie Madof, Ken Lay, and Dennis Kosloski to Big Bird and then pivot to Romney. Somebody thought this was great sarcasm. Charles Krauthammer said he hopes Obama keeps running the add. Big Bird is not happy.

One thing is easy to figure out, Alan. The Obama Campaign is focused solely on getting their base out to vote AGAINST Romney because they don’t have any rational reasons to give for anyone to vote FOR Obama.

As for Madoff, Lay, and Kosloski – I wouldn’t let any of them around children so I find linking them with a children’s icon to be disgusting.
