Why Choose?

Can’t choose a candidate for the US 2008 Presidential elections?

None of the candidates look like they could get the job done?

Looking to bring back Old School government?

Generally I can, and do, vote for the lesser of two evils, but if things shape up as they appear to be, there will be no lesser evil I can vote for on any ground. So despite the challenge of your post, this might be the first election in my life I protest by not voting for a main candidate. And that’s sayin’ something because I used to yell at friends who one, didn’t vote, or two, protested by not casting a vote. (From age 13 – 19, when I could not any longer, due to my schedule, I consumed at least 8 hours of political talk radio a day – I don’t take our right or responsibility to vote lightly.)

I’m curious to see what unfolds, and maybe there will be a major candidate for whom I can vote in good conscience, but if there’s not, I don’t know that I’ll be at the polls – something I never thought I’d say.

[Or rather, this may be the first time I write in a name.]
